i have half of a tank of fuel. We didn't get into any rain on this trip so that's out. I really am thinking its that recall.
heritageblue2013 thanks for the uhal idea. I will be looking into that option.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS REPLIED. I APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP.
This is the last post you made on pg 2, it would be nice if you would update us on your situation. I hope you're on the road again, but please let us know!
Maybe it was something so simple that when he found it, he was too embarrassed to reply back. I hope it was that simple so that his vacation may continue. If he is at Montrose, he has a choice of going to the HD dealer in Grand Junction or back down 550 to Durango. Grand Junction is closer but I'd rather be stranded in Durango.

Yeah, maybe. Or maybe when it started he didn't want to chance it not starting again if he shut it off, so he headed for Grand Junction. Durango may be a nicer place to be stranded, but I don't know that I would want to do the Million Dollar Highway on a bike that had marginal reliability. There isn't much up there in the way of help for a broke down Harley. Since he started in Arizona, Durango would be back tracking and Grand Junction is ahead on his route.

I have nothing to offer to help the OP but commend everyone with all their effort to help him. Might be me next time. It's great that so many people are willing to second-guess the problem and try to get the OP back on the road.
This is like when the time is off on your DVR and it stops recording a couple of minutes before the end of a movie. I want to know what happened! lol
It might be the nugget of knowledge that saves my butt one day.

His last activity on the forum was at 12:23 today. I'm betting he got it fixed and is cruising. He's probably trying to make up for down time. I'm sure he'll post when he can.

The OP is Klindley and his last post was at 10:23 pm (I'm on Pacific Daylight Time, so Central it would have been 12:23) last night. It isn't like he is obligated to tell us the situation or what it was that was causing his bike not to start, but it would be a courtesy to the forum. He may well have been posting on different forums to get solutions and just forgot this one. I for one would like to know just for future reference what the problem was.
