Any tip on good roads/routes to ride in NW AR? I have never gone riding up there but hear it has a lot to offer. Riding up from Ft. Worth on Friday and coming home Sunday.
Just got back. We usually stay in Russellville a Lake Dardanelle and use it as a base camp. One day we will do the southern loop hitting the Hot Springs area. The next day we may go toward OK, or Eureka Springs area. Stop in the Bike shop across from the harley satellite shop. He know all of the good roads. Don't forget about Mount Nebo and Magazine Mountain.

Happy Ridin.
Oh yeah....Kick-*** switchbacks on Mt. Nebo. Lots of fun when you meet a pickup pulling a trailer.
Don't limit it to NW arkansas, do the talamena drive from Mena ar to Talahena OK, 16 up to Jasper and all around Mountain Home, Harrison is great. If you can be around Harrison toward evening, you can go through the Boxley Valley and you will see tons of elk.
Follow hiway 7 from the southern edge of AR to the Northern edge and then take the ferry across to Missouri.
I personnally think Mt Nebo is a waste of time, but to each his own.
unless you trying to hammer out slab miles and get up here quick.. one option is to go north into OK and hit the talimena scenic drive..us 271 to OK 1 east
You will end up near Mena. Keep wandering east toward Hot Springs and hwy 7...0r 27.. north south thru here is great. East west just stays in between the hills. 7 stays great all the way up to Jasper area. Any road up there will be fun. 7 sometimes has too much tourist traffic. North from Mena is good too tho
Nwest has some spread out areas. Might keep that tank full if you like the good gas.
