Kind of like a Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge question. They all do the same thing, just different and everybody has a favorite.

I agree with you here.

I had the SE 255 cams and put 10,500 miles on them. Had those pulled and went with the Tw222 cams.
Less heat with the 222, and they carry over a touch more to the right.
I suppose I would have better numbers if I went with a 2-1 like a D&D. I do know just a couple of ft/# torque added or lost is noticeable. I think an earlier post on their TW 222 cams here was @
114 ft/# of torque with their 2-1-2 FM exhaust, a touch more than my 106 ft/# with my MGS TD exhaust.

Running V&H true duals you'll lose about +10 of HP & torque.
Compared to a top single exhaust?

With the 103 we have little issue fully loaded, two-up.

FALSE. Absolutely, totally false.

Cams make more power provided the heads allow it and stock heads are not maxed out with stock cams.

Stock heads are good for almost a real 110tq/100hp with proper cams/exhaust/AC/Tune. 255s (110/85 on a very "happy" dyno) and/or true duals aren't gonna be close. 255s are an improvement over stock and seem to get a lot of "love" here, But there are MUCH better choices. It is not a Chevy/Ford/Mopar thing. There are real results over in the dyno section. Putting around at 2000 rpm in 6th gear fully loaded is a fools game.

I would go with the SE204 over the TW222 as they will do about the same and are $100 cheaper. They also only have .508 lift and the 222's have .555 lift. The extra lift may help a little up high but usually hurts VE by lowering the velocity down low. I have seen several bikes with 204's and 222's and they all out perform the 255.

I have TW-222s in my 2012 RGC. I"ve been very happy with the results. I chose the TW-222s because I wanted all my torque down low. I don't ride much above 4,000 RPM.

Attached is the dyno chart. My bike has Rinehart extreme true duals, a SE heavy breather intake and a PC-V tuner. On the dyno chart, look at how fast this thing builds torque, its an absolute blast to ride. I couldn't ask for anything more out of a cam only swap. 115 ft lbs of torque...I like it!

Good luck.

I'm running Andrews 48 and am very impressed. Had Doc tune mine and squeezed out 110 tq and 97hp. They pull very nicely through low and mid range. Also since the rise is essentially the same, no need to change out pushrods.
