Can you post some details? Who did it and what parts did you choose?

I'd give FM a call as well. I like their IC jugs and b level heads. I am sure I would enjoy that ride.

If you've got a 103, it's not worth the money to go 107 (worth maybe 3 or 4 hp, assuming similar compression, heads, etc). Put the money in heads, cams, get the compression right, throttlebody, exhaust, etc. You can build a nice touring engine around the 103 without having to change pistons. If you're at 96, then it makes sense to build a 107 instead of a 103.

I'm already pretty happy, but what would you suggest adding to a 103" w/SE255's?

Above all, I want my bike to have good street manners (no pinging, excessive heat, etc.).

Thanks

I agree with everybody else. Its not like your going to do it and then say " I wish I had not done it; it runs too strong now!"

I'm thinking of a doing a 107" kit. I've got 48K on my Road King Classic.

Whadya think?
Why not now that you have the need.
But;
what engine do you have now?
what have you done to improve the stock configuration to date?
Has it been tuned to maximum?

always wondering if the current engine is putting out all it can before the need for improving.

I have a stock 96 with basic a Stage I (Monster Oval slip ons and a high flow air cleaner and PCV from Fuel Moto (mapped by them)).

IMHO, In answer to my question "Has it been tuned to maximum?", The answer is no.

In fact the pipes may have detuned, a canned map may or may not be optimal.

No doubt that a 107 kit properly tuned will give you a very noticeable improvement.
