Stock tranny, stock gearing, stock belt. No issues. I don't do burn outs but I'm not easy on the bike either.

Well I think part of his problem is "Bike has the Burly slammer kit in it (Maybe changing the geometry too much?)"
You also have the stock belt. Seems the shorter belts don't hold up as well as the stocks. If I went with a different tranny pulley it would be a 31 tooth so that I wouldn't have to change the belt. A chain will probably solve his problem, they are run with some slack in them, not tight like belts.

Hahahaha.......got me. Had nothing better to do than make up some BS to pat myself on the back.
Your advice helped me with some of the major decisions on building this bike. I ain't here trying to waste any bodies time man.
Sorry I've wasted yours.

Have a buddy with an early 90's Electra Glide which he changed the engine to some big incher, I want to say 124? Anyway, if he gets on it hard a few times, away goes the belt. Happened once on a ride when I was right behind him. So its not unusual with high horsepower engines. If you want to continue to use that power when you want to, maybe the chain would be a better option.

no more wheelies, burnouts, or taking off sideways through a couple of gears.

just find it odd that I have never had these issues with any other Harley Ive owned through the years.

revelation.......none of the other bikes have been baggers though (weight difference)....(I ain't getting any smaller either)
***** that noise. Just put a chain on it. I've broken belts on 80 inch Baggers. (Back when i was in the cam of the month club..hehe) I attributed it to whacking the throttle wide open from a stop combined with the weight of the bike. it takes A LOT of force to get the front end of a bagger off the ground.

Just goes with the territory of beating on a high horsepower beast. Same thing happends with cars & they have driveshafts. Get used to opening up the check book!

Agreed. First thing usually to go in a Fbody is the clutch or 10 bolt rearend when using sticky tires and dumping the clutch even on stock power.
