Hello I have a street glide and just recently the oil preasure while riding is at 60 psi , If I pull in the clutch it drops back down! Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem gauge and sensors have all been replaced also..
filter? correct oil- you didn;t dump gear oil in there did you?
there is a pressure bleed off which redirects oil to the oil pump if the pressure exceeds about 35 PSI...the oil then goes through teh cam support plate and then the oil pressure sensor...then through the filter.
If the filter is jammed up, mounted wrong, gasket blocking hole...then the oil could back up and give this high reading.
after the filter the oil goes to top end and bottom end of the motor- I hope these areas aren;t being starved for oil.
I'd figure this out before the motor lunches
