I have a 2007 Ultra, turn signals, horn, and brake light not working.Already changed the tsm. There are 2 sets of ground wires under the seat, the ones on the right side if you were sitting on the bike, have a terminal with a broken ground wire as pictured.Anyone knows what it goes to?
Was like that when I bought it used.Thought it might be why I have no turn signals, horn, brake lights. If its not a factory ground I will keep looking. Thanks
these 3 items, horn TS, brake light do not have much to do with each other.
I suggest you get a wiring diagram ( like in the manual) and trace through each of the systems.
the brake and horn are very uncomplicated to trouble shoot- and neither of these have anything to do with the TSM/TSSM for many models ----- i don't have a 2007 diagram- so i won't make a definitive statement on that.
electrical can be tough, but it is logical and you just have to step through it
Did all these things stop working all at once? Of the circuits you mentioned how many of them have been altered since the bike was new? Are the bulbs and signals stock on the front and rear how about the horn has it been change? Do you have an led brake light? Also have the bars or switch housings (changed to chrome) been changed. Most often a stock bike works fine but as soon as someone has been adding or upgrading things to the electrical system that is the first place to look for problems. Not knowing all the bikes history does not help you don't know if things were removed before you got it. Look for evidence. Good luck tell us what you find.
Had a frustrating electrical issue involving turn signals and horn some time back. Checked and re-checked fuses and all looked good. Out of desperation, I bought a handful of 15 amp fuses and replaced all of them in the fuse box. Voila'! Everything worked! Fuses are cheap, so now I carry a good supply of them on the bike.
