HELP release air rear Shocks

Default HELP release air rear Shocks

Hot day air has built to 8o psi and i go to let air out...never done this before.. push steem in and nothing..get a a]steem remover and unscrew it ..nothing I have read u need a pump HD to add air
Am i to assume i need this pump tp let air out ??

Are you reading the dash air gauge? That's the ambient air temp. Nothin to do with shocks.

Not sure why the valve won't bleed if you press it in unless I am missing something.

Many pumps have a bleed valve on them, I know mine does. You should have one anyway if your ride has air shocks.

I have this one, and it works great.

yes i am...dam i feel like a idiot so only a pump/gauge can read pressure?

thats what i need..still not sure why air wont bleed off with pressing steem in unless its empty ,,

I think you might have a winning answer here. If you don't have a pump, thus never have put air in them, then they are probably empty or damned near it. They will lose air pressure over time.

You will be amazed at how much better the ride is with proper air pressure in the shocks.

yes first season with this bike.. first touring as well

found it weird to bottom out with wife on back so i tried reading as much as possible will have to get pump to c pressure

I know it's not right to laugh at others but I'm sorry....that was funny as hell. Get you a pump and all will be good. Pump it up to about 15-20 psi riding solo.

2010 Limited with some stuff

I am around 230 lbs. and the manual says the shocks should have about 25 or so in them for that weight solo, and about 40 2 up. I put mine at 40 and left them there for solo to make it easier. I personally like the ride better at 40 solo too.
