Im so disappointed over this whole experience,,gonna be fun trying to sort out someone elses mess,,wished I had have just changed tensioners myself and re & red the rocker boxes,,,only reason i didnt is busy with work,,well half the riding season is done,work slowed down and I still got dicked around

So i looked inside cam chest,,big hammer marks on camtensioner springs from install,,metal particles,,pulled oil pump,,,all scored inside,,wonder if this had any effect

Sounds to me like your "friend" mechanic doesn't really know what he's doing. I've never needed to resort to a hammer on any part of my bike, so far. Sounds like something has gone through your oil pump and God only knows what else. There's nothing in there that you can't do yourself if you have the factory manual. I would advise you to cut open your oil filter and see what you can find in there too.
