I think they must only be obnoxious with true duals. I have them with a decatted head pipe and I don't find them that loud at all. I have the PBR 300 amp and 6 1/2 in speakers, I hear the radio fine. Hogpro described them very well.
Kicks, I'm using a fuel moto tune with a powervision for mine, runs great.
Power vision from fuel moto for me too... I have dresser duals and think they are obnoxious at 2000-3000 rpms. In my opinion at that RPM range the megaphone tone comes out too much and they sound like crap. At idle and above 3000 they sound great.
I have the Boom Audio speakers and the stock radio. My volume is never louder than the L in VOLUME on the stereo head. Again, I still have the cat, so that, I'm sure, is why mine are tame compared to others. FWIW, a guy I ride with has a 2009 (no cat stock), Rinehart slip-ons and stock radio, and his radio is always louder than mine, and needs to be louder than mine to hear his music.
And I forgot the other question... I have a Power Vision, but I did not get a Fuel Moto map. Mine was done by another.

I run the knockoffs with cams on my 13 I love the sound deep and loud!! It could be a bit louder for me. I ride with ppl the have 120r's 117s 107s 110s and mine is louder😊
I have Cfr's also and love the sound, they mellow out nicely on the open roads and don't seem loud at all IMO. However I have read the packing in the knock off won't last more than a 1000 miles or so and then they get noticeably louder. I don't have any first hand expirience with th knock offs but the real deal Cfr's I like
