I'm a new owner to an older 92 Ultra classic and would like to know if they came with a drivers backrest when new? Also I'm 6'4 with a 36 in.length inseam and find that I experience pressure from the very front of the seat, the part that rides the tank, into my private area and wondered if there are different seats that may reduce that or make me sit higher than the stock seat. Any help would be appreciated. How would I know if my seat would except a drivers back rest anyway?
If it takes a backrest there will be a hole in the seat to accept the backrest mount, between the front and rear seats. Being an older bike you may have difficulty finding a new seat for it. The older seat makers like Corbin and Mustang may still list them. AN alternative is to have your seat remodelled by one of the custom seat firms like Mean City Cycles.
Your 9" taller than me, so perhaps we could do a trade on some of your spare leg length? That could solve a lot of things for both of us!
Joking aside, you will find the Evo forum is a great place to hang out, for help and advice. I've owned my 1990 Glide from new and there are others in there with stacks of useful info.
