2014 Touring air filter gasket?
I think it's fairly obvious from the diagrams but can someone confirm the 2014 air cleaners don't use this gasket?
It's item #13 in the below pic for the 2010. The second pic is the 2014 diagram and I don't see any gasket.

2014
The backing plate is sealed to the induction module. And, the filter has a silicone/rubber gasket made into it that seals it to the backing plate. Then, the outer cover is also sealed to the backing plate.
The surface where the older model places a gasket is completely internal. 'Mother MoCo' seems to have found yet another way to save a few pennies, thus increasing their profit margin. Ingenious, ain't it?
Comparing part #14 in the 2010 pic to part #13 in the 2014 pic. See the difference? Perhaps, as grbrown stated, the seal (#13) seals both backing plate to induction module and the air filter, therefore making the gasket in the 2010 pic obsolete?
Or, it could simply be a mistake by the draftsperson...

To further show just cause while blaming the drafsperson, look at parts #14, #1, #3, #15, and #16, (focusing mostly on #14), in the 2014 picture. You see the dashed lines showing where the screws (part#1) go through the holes in #14? Those dashed lines are actually depicting center line of the screws/holes. (The format of the line, long dash/short dash/long dash, etc. is the standard for depicting center lines). Where the center line from the bottom screw crosses the threaded tab for the screw (part#3) that holds parts #15 and #16 to the bracket part #14, the center line should not be shown crossing over that tab. It actually should go under the tab, since it is hidden by the tab. Drafts people make mistakes too...
Yeh, I once wanted to be a mechanical engineer...
