Default 04 king 98" build help

Budget is 1400_1800

I want to go 98" with thunder header or equivalent 2 into one.

I need a.kick in the right direction. Fuel moto is 1800 for kit with new tensioner s too.

Can I do it cheaper then that by boring the jugs, buying cams and hydrolic cam set up.

Or is it best to go with fuel moto kit and call it a day.

How much should I expect to pay for install and without flowed heads can I hit 100hp mark?

I did my 95" with ported heads, s.e. cam plate, cams, and more for about $1k. Don't know about hp & tq, I'm running a auto tune.
Do some shopping eBay, Craigslist, Forum classifieds. Get some takeoff parts set of '06+ heads with .030 head gaskets, '07+ cam plate with conversion cams. You can put a "98 together for about a grand or less.

any links

if i could do it for a grand that would leave me enough cash to get a thunder header, so where do i start?

You will be hard pressed getting the pistons, bore, cams, gaskets and miss. for $1000. Having them all matched is another problem. Going with a proven kit/combo is the smart move, especially if ya are "new" to engine work. 100 hp without headwork (or happy dyno) on stock early heads is a rare thing.

I paid $300 from a friend. May pay to be patient and shop around.

Old Hippie may have the best advice. It took me a year to get my parts together, that's why it was cheap. I'm still not 100% happy with my cam choice (it was free).
The eBay kit you linked looks good. Call them up and tell them what you want.
