No matter how much you would like to, you cant control what goes on behind you.
Sure you can keep tapping your brake lights with 1 million candlepower brake lights and then hope you didnt night blind them and get squashed at the traffic light or drop ball bearings that hits the 1% club riding three vehicles behind them or look back at them with a menacing stare, yeah, clean shaven guys with khakis and saddle oxfords chill my spine too OR you can use the same logic of why there are no mirrors on track bikes. You cant control what people are doing behind you....Ride your own Ride.

Gotta love it.

Much to my surprise there was no pushing me or crowding, when I pulled into a convenience store for a break and a drink, they actually pulled in behind me.

I think I may have surprised them walking by I thanked the driver for not tailgating, he said "My Ol' man rides, he taught me long ago to never tailgate a biker."

I taught my 3 boys the same thing amongst many others, thank you to another father for doing the same.

Throwing steel ***** or spitting root bear barrels into the path of a 3200 pound cage is a little like taking a knife to a gun battle...you are gonna loose big time. I would not recommend it. The best thing to do is slow down by pulling to the side of the roadway which encourages the A-hole to pass you by.
If all that fails to remedy the situation you have to figure that the A-hole is trying to kill you, at which point it becomes combat and the rules of engagement change. I would hope you live in a right to carry state and you hire a damn good lawyer.

Wave 'em around... Hell yeah... but I'd like to point something out to those that read and flamed the OP when he said he was doing 30 in a 35 (his mistyping that he corrected). The fact is 30 in a 35 is not illegal and does not give the following vehicles the right to NOT maintain a safe distance ahead. I run the speed limit or above most of the time, but have learned to wait it out when I get behind someone who is not comfortable at the speed limit for some reason. I suspect the flamers would start crawling up a slower drivers tailpipe, just like the tailgaters they're bitc*ing about.
