Welcome to the club. I did the same thing two up pulling a trailer when the sidewall blew out due to hitting a piece of metal on the road unknown to me. Did some flat track riding as the *** end swung side to side. I think the only reason we stayed up was the seat sucked up my *** along with a lot of praying.
Lot a front at 70 once two up and it was every bit as scary. I am a little paranoid about my tires now.
The tire shrapnel was a lot of small bits. No big gators. I thought I avoided most of it.
I focused on keeping the steering going in the right direction and let bike stop itself without touching the brake. There was a lot of swaying and pressure on the handlebars but it wasn't that hard to handle.
I have to think that my JRi suspension played some role in my ability to keep things under control.
The bike rode exactly the same fully loaded as it usually does with just me aboard. Sag fully adjusted, of course.
I never felt that way with the air shocks.
Thanks to all for the nice words.
