I need to look for my paperwork that I got with the bike, the esp crap should be in there if I have a copy. If not, construction zone here I come, lmao... Or I might just happen to find the nail after I park it in the garage with the head scuffed up, so I am not stranded away from home, hehe. If esp don't cover my tow, my insurance will cover to the nearest "certified" HD service center and around here, that's Savannah HD about an hour away. Thanks guys.
Don't take the tech's word for it. You can get a tread depth gauge at any auto parts store. As some have said. 4/32 on the front is still close to new. One the rear it's about worn out.

Thanks David. As I stated earlier, they still look new to me, hell the back tire still has about 1/4 of tread depth, so it has to be almost new. The front is less than 1/4 tread depth. I think I will invest in a tread depth gauge. If the dealer wont give me any love, I will try the Dunlop route before they pick up nails, lol.

LOL. I have been home about a year now and the bike had 6,000 miles on it when I parked it, now it has 12,300, so I think I am gettin the dust off it

Ok, let me get this straight. You rode the useful life out of the tires, but expect new for free? It disappoints me that a career military man would be that dishonest. In my experience, tires last around 10,000 miles or so. Am I missing something? To purposely destroy something seems wrong to me.

Correct, it's dishonest and is also insurance FRAUD. It causes all of us to pay a little more next time.

I usually try to stay neutral, but have to agree with both of you above. I was wondering if everyone thought it was OK to purposely destroy the tire. Been riding over 40 years and never got over 9000 miles out of a rear tire and most fronts done by 10 k. When I had the esp, I was pleased as $hit, when they paid for ONE tire in seven years.....and it was an ACTUAL road hazard. That tire had about 1000 miles on it. It was nice that it was covered......I still listen to that little voice that tells me right from wrong...Guess if the OP thinks that he didn't get his money's worth at 12 k, he's the one that has to live with it not me, but not the route I could take. To each his own....

I was thinking just that as I was reading this thread. You expressed it well
