Chity hd esp
I just had my bike serviced for the 10k a few weeks ago. Just noticed cracking (dryrott) between the treads of the front AND back tire. Called dealer, " Its normal wear and tear" (without even looking at the bike or anything) My bike is a 11 limited with only 12,000 miles on it. I call BS on that one. ESP DONT cover towing ( just reimbersment) I have towing thru Safeco ins company to the nearest CERTIFIED dealer. I guess Big Red just went thru a construction area and picked up a nail in the front tire and just might go thru it again soon for the back tire. The tire measurement was 4/32nd at the last service. What is the lowest tread wear that is covered? Is that to low for a road hazard according to the "dealer's ESP", thanks guys. I welcome ANY and ALL input...

dunlop has their own warranty as well. if you don't happen to pick up a nail for the esp, then contact dunlop directly and let them know that you aren't getting any joy from the dealer and that you are concerned about the safety of these tires......
here is the dunlop warranty info. if the tires are over half worn, you'll get prorated and have to pay installation, but its better than paying full pop. and dunlop considers 1/32'' fully worn. (i think esp is 2/32'')

The ESP is 3/32" for coverage. And they do cover the tow. Had to have my 2011 towed to dealer with 13,000 miles on it due to a huge nail thru the sidewall of the brand new Michelin Commander II rear tire. Dealer was going to pay for the tow, but when they called the ESP to get the approval for the new tire, ESP said they'd cover the tow also ($150.00).
The only issue with the ESP is, they'll only pay for tire replacement with a tire that is available thru the dealer you're at. Lucky for me, my dealer sells the Commander IIs, even cheaper than the Dunlops.
So out of the whole ordeal, it only cost me $57.00 (I think, after tax), for rear brake pads. They already had it apart, so they didn't charge me labor for the brake job.
