Default Breather hose advice

Hi All,

I am working on finally getting a crankcase breather installed completed on my 07 Ultra.
I ordered this kit off
Amazon Amazon
and want to use an AN fitting to a braided steel hose to a catch can rather then use an unsightly rubber hose and standard hose clamp. Problem is I do not even know what type of AN fitting that would be to connect to the end of the pipe. I do know they exist and had assumed it was a compression fitting, but searching on that is not working out.

Does anyone know where I would begin searching for such an AN fitting?

You may actually like the looks of the Gates Power Clamp heat shrink hose clamp even more. As for AN type hose end, you'd need to measure it and go to a speed shop to get one. As for the braided hose, check the plumbing section of the hardware store, braided has become the thing for toilet tank lines. Cheap alternative.

I got the same set up on my bike.......

NOTE: It will hit the bottom of your tank...I had to install a tank lift kit to solve the issue....

I just ran oil rated tubing from the outlet, through the heads and down between the primary to about 2" to the ground. I used black plastic wiring loom to dress the visible hose up. Just use zip ties to keep it away from the heads as much as possible.

I did similar to hdv-glide only I didn't use the horseshoe like shown in the original post. Builders say the vents should run straight down to let the mist out. I just used the banjo bolts with the 3/8" hose fitting, ran them to a Y-fitting (not a T-fitting) between the jugs and ran the hose behind the primary. You don't even notice the hose. After a ride just touch the end of the hose to see what goo use to get sucked into the throttle body.

With the pressure coming out of the heads, I'm sure the mist from the rear cylinder will make it up that slight incline and exit the piping with the mist from the front cylinder....if not, it will go back into the head which is not a bad thing......

The clamp or fitting isnt that big a deal.. not a high pressure application.. I know the fittings look cleaner.. you got the money for that go ahead, I would if I thought it was necessary. Just for reference sake I'll post up my install.. hose is a swedgelock product, and catch can from summit racing.. Raz 1 pt. can w/drain ..... Scooter

Wouldn't you also need an adapter plate the same thickness of the banjo bolts to go between the backing plate and the throttle body or am I missing something?

2010 Limited with some stuff

Definatley like the Gates shrink clamps. Only thing that might not help if the catch can I plan to use needs to be removed to clean.

If you are refering to your 09 there does not seem to be a kit like this. Probably why. Hard for me to find but the specs show that this kit will not work on an 09 or above. Most likely due to the frame change. I am safe I hope with an 07 plus I already have the tank lift.

Nice setup there Scooter. I know the pressure is nothing. Just trying to dress it up a little that is all. I canned the PV tuner upgrade this month and figured I would ease the disease and budget with this project.

Although I do not like the red and blue portion of the AN fittings. I might seriously think about using the Home Depot braided plumber fittings in chrome trick like someone mentioned before.
