Found my electrical issue, was a simple wire pinch. The turn signal wire was being pinched between the inner and outer. Radio is not popping the fuse now, so no idea why that one went. Maybe when I was pulling the harness through the fairing to reinstall shorted out on something.
Well, I officially have the bug to swap my 06 EG Ultra into a RG Ultra.. Maybe if we all just send our new fairings to you for paint, you can make the money back from your swap...

Nice job man! now you just need a RG seat.
I do have a RG seat, but I ain't giving up my hammock. The problem with swapping seats for a new look is the hammocks slot for my drivers back rest is 2" farther back. So I would have to move the bracket every time I change them out.
can you get some more pics up. maybe outside shots, trying to see if it really looks like stock fairing. i am on the fence and need a nudge to jump into this project.
im thinking of keeping the road king tank, and having all gauge holes as speakers. could that be easily done?

This aftermarket fairing is the exact same size and shape as the oem. Used all harley mounts, gauges ect. Plus the HD bra fits perfect.
Not real sure on how hard it would be to not use gauges in the fairing, maybe you could find some small speakers to put in them, but you could just not put the speedo and tach nacelle on it. Might look weird with out it though.

Thanks. My son bought a new road glide and I've been really liking it. I have him swap up with me to often on trips. This was just enough to make me to ahead and do the conversion to the ultra. Thanks for the posts and Awsome looking bike!
Bike looks great. I am wondering if the ones for sale on eBay are the same fairing. There is a guy that sells a vivid black inner and outer for $489.
I'm thinking of inner outer with nacelle. Keeping the road king tank and dash. And in all gauge holes including the nacelle getting speakers to fill them. Creating a big *** boom box
Check out the link. Seller says some with all screws needed so I think it's the same kit
