Question Brake Light issue after new bars installed

I've finished up my 10" MBB intall and finished re-pinning the connectors on my 09 Street Glide. Today I thought I would check right and left controls before I re-installed the inner fairing and put the front end together. I connected the right & left controls and ignition switch to the wireharness. Connected the front right & left turn signals. Here is the issue:
1. Left/Right controls, left/right front turn signals and ignition switch connected to the wireharness =
A. Rear brake and running lights are on but Bright. Press the front brake switch, rear barke lights & running light go dim, press the rear brake peddle, nothing. Brake & running stay bright.
2. Right control pug disconnected from the wireharness =
B. Rear brake & running light dim. Press the rear brake peddle and brake and running light goes bright. Left turn signal and front brake switch not working since right connector disconnected from wireharness
So right now it seems to be something wrong with the right control wire bundle for the front brake switch. Everything on the right controls seem to work except the front brake switch. I've checked the wires from the male connector that I re-pined to the female connector on the wire harness and the color of the wires match. Not sure what I'm missing and looking for suggestions on what to check next. I really appreciate it! Thanks!

New owners often do 2 things.

dump the tranny fluid when trying to change oil

and remove the right hand controls and break the front brake light switch ( how to prevent this has been in the manual for over 25 years).

so you probably busted the switch unless you used a shim. a few guys have fixed the busted switch with JB weld, you could search for their posts.
A new switch is about $60.

Sounds like the switch.. U can save money and use something something like a nail head to wedge between the switch housing and the brake switch on the right side.. It'll push the switch over enough for the lever to activate it.. Works for me and cost nothing..

Yeah...I isolated the switch and (disconnected the Or/Wh & Red/Yel wires for the stop switch) everything esle works as it should for the right side controls. I did'nt see anything broken on the micro switch so it must be internal to the switch. I'll go pick one up tomorrow. To repleace the switch do you just solder a new one in? If so no problem. Thanks for the reply and info..

I may be wrong, but it doesn't sound like a broken switch. It sounds like you may have crossed some wires. You said the lights are bright but then you hit the brake it goes dim. Something isn't right with the wiring.

The outside of the switch doesn't appear to be damaged. Something interanal to the switch is damaged. I cut it from the right side wire harness and prep'ed the wires to solder in a new switch tomorrow. I'll report back the outcome after I get the switch soldered in. Thanks for all the feedback and info!

Did you check the wiring in the bars first?
