Air Filter question

Just took my football off, put on a Willie G cover.

We just did a 2200mi ride to TN, and at one point we got stuck in traffic after riding 6hrs. Needless to say, my mc got really hot, engine light came on, failsafe shut down a cyl.

So, when I took the football off, I noticed some oil splatter on the inside, and on the filter itself. Question is, can I clean the filter? If so, what do you use?

The filter came with a stage 1 sucker kit.

Standard paper filter, no. K&N, AFE, etc., yes. There are cleaning kits available through auto parts houses or the internet.

For a stock filter, you use a mild detergent (I use Dawn Dishwashing Liquid) and warm water. This is whats called out in the owners manual.

Guessing this isn't paper. Says cotton on the website. So would you say this can be cleaned?

Looks just like a K&N filter. I would check with the dealer parts dept to see what to clean it with. They should know.

The guy in the You-tube video cannot be married. If he were married and washing the oil filters off in the kitchen sink his wife would plant those filters so far up his butt he would never find them.
