I have a 2012 Limited.
I have the new fork mounted deflectors and they clear the hard lowers just fine at full lock.

I have the triple t deflector. I had both installed at the same time, so I don't know which did more but I know with them both nice calm air, but a little breeze is still there. Well worth doing both.

Good news!! Thx for the info & pics Highwayman.

To confirm...these are the HD 57400146A deflectors correct. No bending, reshaping or anything required for them to fit with no interference?

I have the triple tree wind deflector and I HIGHLY recommend it. I have the adjustable side wind deflectors on my batwing fairing and the combination makes for an amazingly wind free ride. When it's hot out, I push more up toward me with the adjustable side deflectors. I leave the triple tree deflector on year round.

Correct part number. No reshaping, plenty of room, nothing special to installing them just a screw driver. Interferes with nothing. The previous style had an actual point on them thus "fangs" and those were a bit wider but flat and I understand would collide, these are scooped shaped and clear just fine.

I've tried several times, on two different bat-wing bikes, both on and off for extended periods and I cannot discern any difference one way or the other.
I've had the same experience, I can't tell the difference when on or off. 2012 EGC.

Default A possible alternative wind deflector

Just want to throw this out an an option... I like the soft lowers because I like a clean look to the bike, plus I don't have to install anything and yet I still get a lower amount of wind (not to mention RAIN! if you get caught in it these will deflect it!). They're easily removable, too, so for those times when I do want some air (hot weather etc), they go into the saddlebag. Desert Dawgs are made in the USA... http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/harl...n-rain-guards/

What's up with the gas cap in the pic?

Zenglide,

That's a product that I designed and submitted to the patent office.

Sorry, I don't get the gas cap holder thing. The tie down part I understand but I see no reason to carry a spare gas cap everywhere I go.
Or...when gassing up I simply put my gas cap on the seat since it will only be a minute or two before it's back on the bike.

I put on the fork deflectors, 08 Street Glide, 8.5" Klock Werks, stock seat and I'm 6'4.
They do help, but I'm still getting some turbulence with my full face that's bothersome (big difference between just wind and that buffeting). I have the batwing fairings I'll be putting on this weekend to try that combo, hopefully that will reduce it enough to not give a headache.
With my half helmet the buffeting it's nearly as noticeable, but for whatever reason the full is definitely an issue (but just fine if I just rise up into the full wind above windshield).

I did notice a significant heat increase after the fangs, will also be interested to see what the fairings add to the equation.
