I learned a lot about batteries and HD - If you battery just gets weak and then dies - you have a warning... If yours is like mine and just shorts inside and craps out on top of Highway 120 going over Yosemite - You end up with a 700+ pound brick that will NOT start until you install a new battery - you can not jump start or push start... this happend at 4pm on a saturday afternoon... Thank God I had roadamerica, they towed us back to the Modesto area, all covered by Road America road service... So, wait to long and your bike may turn into a Brick on the side of the road...

You are correct, East Penn Manufacturing makes batteries with many different labels on them. Yuasa and Interstate are among them, specifications do vary between brands depending if price point is one criteria. If the Deka's take off, you can bet that the others will also offer AGM. But most dealers' parts managers are lazy and they depend on Parts Department Unlimited way too much. Yuasa's in their catalog, so that's what you'll find 99 times out of 100.
