Still waiting for the sprocket from the dealer. Dealer stated that sprocket is on back order and will not be delivered until the 20th of this month. After reading some of the posts concerning the 30t sprocket some questions came to mind. Will the sprocket affect the functioning of the cruise control and second will it affect the 6th gear light from displaying? I guess I could live without the 6 gear light, but not the cruise.

I've made this mod, 6th gear light is history but cruise still works. Speedo will be off more than the normal 3 MPH too fast setting by HD. (speedo says 60 but your doing 57) It will be more like (speedo says 60 but you will be doing 52) Unless you fix your speedo calibration with a TTS, TMax or a Dakota SIM1. If you fix your speedo calibration you may get your 6th gear light back in most cases.

Reason: spelling
If you use TMax you will get your 6th gear light back by adjusting the the final drive ratio and of course you can calibrate the speedo with it ,but its pricey. i cant speak for other tuners as i only have experence with TMax.

Why can't a Harley Dealer calibrate reprogram a 09 or 10 Tri Glide ECM with a 30T sprocket. The same as a 2011 model. Is the ECM different. Or is it a trade secret????

Thanks for the info, however it leads to a couple more questions. Since the PC-V was not listed in the replies, I'm assuming that the PC-V can not be used for the speedo recalibration. Second, has anyone installed the Dakota digital? It looks pretty straight forward, but I am reluctant to cut and splice wires.

PCV will not adjust speedo calibration but I do have a schematic I made to install the Dakota SIM1. If you need it I can scan and attach it here.
You only have to cut one wire and splice the SIM1 in. You can use piggyback wire crimps for power and ground. Pull the ECM fuse and unplug the ECM. Open the ECM connector and find the wire number you need, cut the wire harness insulation back about 6" to cut that one wire. Don't cut it near the connector. Find the wire number for power and ground. Wrap the wire harness with black tape nice and neat. Reinstall the ECM connector and put the fuse back in.
