Hello everybody!
Been lurking here a while and decided to post my new TG Experience.
Picked up my new TG on the 12th of this month. Here's what happened on the ride home. I got abot 12 miles from the dealer, taking it easy as I was instructed. Cars were passing me on the 4 lane hiway. Then a pickup started to pass me, when he got along side of me I seen he was pulling a spray tank of some sort. Little did I know there was a boom sticking out 90 degrees to the tank, it was suppose to be folded in and parallel to the tank. All of a sudden my left mirror got clipped along with the corner of the faring! I got the guy to pull over and called the Patrol. The extened arm also scraped the edge of the tour-pak but I never felt it when it happened. He got a ticket and I guess I can consider myself lucky that that is all that happened. Dam people with unsecured cargo. Remember to have eyes in the back of your head !!
Glad that you are OK. A bummer it happened to your brand new bike, but I am sure it will be an easy fix. It is unbeleivable how stupid some motorists are. Why was he that close to you anyway. He probably was on a cell phone too, not paying attention to anything. Welcome to the forum and many safe rides..

Welcome, sorry to hear about the new Tri Glide. It may have been different on two wheels, that slight hit on a bike could have been worse. The Tri is a stable platform may have kept you from being knocked off balance. It is hard to predict what we will encounter on the road, I see some crazy stuff going on out there! If we thought about it we would all probably just park em!
Welcome aboard and I hope they put the shine back on the new Tri for you!
As a matter of fact, he was on a cell phone. I mentioned it to the Patrol but he said no law against it yet. He said he see's it all the time but doesnt like it.
Got the damage estimate from the Harley dealership. Almost $2200. Now to wait and see if I get paid without a hassel. Also thank you for all your kind responses. It can get rough out there at times.
