Default TriGlide Fenders

Anyone know what the TriGlide fenders are made of?

It seems like they shake so much at engine idle that they would crack and fall off. I'm wondering if they are made out of some kind of plastic instead of fiberglass like they used to be.

Anybody have any ideas?

The fenders on the 2010 I had looked to be fiberglass, I could see some strands in a big chip from a rock tossed by a dump truck.

They are fiberglass.
Wife sideswiped one of those cement filled steel posts at a gas station shortly after she got the TG and I had to get it repaired.

Road debris popped up and cracked the bottom right of the trunk. The fiberglass split. Don't think I will be spending 1K for a fix.

Just a suggestion here: If its where it doesnt show you can get a very inexpensive fiberglass repair kit from most any boat shop or discount boat store such as west marine.

I had the fiberglass actually separate from the vibration of the engine. I tried to repair it myself but I could still see it every time I washed the trike so when I took it to the body shop he laughed and said he spends more time repairing trike fenders of every mfg than almost everything else, lots of gas station and curb incidents but mine was truly a split in the fiberglass..., cost to repair $580 with the fender completely repainted and looks as good as new.

My fenders shake quite a bit with my SE255 Cams. So, far no cracks. The shaking adds to the experience.
