I dont know about the others but AFR is pretty common as air-fuel- ratio. Strychometeric is purrfect but not wanted in the Harley world.
With the AFR meter, you will be able to see what is going on NOW
.It is the best tool you will have ever bought and the best option you ever put on your bike.
I dont know why the new computerized BS does include away to monitor it, as they already have an O2 sensor in there,
Thanks. I will look them up.
Which one do you have in stalled?
Glad you are making progress!
My '04 has a K&N air filter, Vance and Hines Powershots along with a DynoJet Power Commander. I was able to "borrow" a custom map from someone on the V-Rod forum (now 1130) back when I did it in 2004 - as they had a custom map made from dyno-tuning with the same set up... and it runs delightful. As you're finding out, once you move past stock with the intake and/or exhaust, you'll need to compensate for the narrow fuel map from H-D. This applies to pretty much all Fuel Injected H-D bikes, but as Kingglide549 said, it is easier with the 02 sensor already in the head pipe. Earlier bikes don't have that to work with... hence the need for individual dyno-tune maps.
Does the AME Air Fuel ratio meter setup use the existing O2 sensors?
The kit includes a wide band with bung .
I have no clue if the factoryO2 could be sistered off of
My gut tells me HD just uses a cheap O2 sensor that will not do the job.
