I"ve got an 07AW, Ive got 9k miles on it, from a few trips, and just general riding around. No racing, but I've cranked on it occassionally. My bike used a quart of oil in the first 3k miles. That was until I started whipping on it. After that, no oil consumption at all. Like uj034 says, break this bike in hard from the word GO!!! No scrapes here except the framedue to lowering it a bunch.

there are a lot of different shock options from different vendors to raise or lower your bike. I have a vrsca 2003, she had 10 miles on her july 2003, now we have 32,000 miles and she runs as good as ever, most of those miles are two up riding and a few trips to the drag strip, never had to add oil, just changed it every 3000 miles. be SURE to break it in just like the manual says and you should not have any problems! I have progressive shocks front and back, but still have scraped the foot pegs.
