Dealer has an 06 Night Rod with under 4k miles for a little under $10k. Pretty much stock. Detachable windshield comes with it.
I like the NR but i also like my Nightster and not sure i want to trade it in. What kind of gas mileage does the Night Rod get? My Nightster gets better than 50mpg highway/40 city. How does the rod handle? My Nightster is very responsive which makes it a good streetfighter. That is important to me since i ride a lot in L.A. traffic. It can get out of the way quick if somecabron turns without looking, andit splitslaneswith no problem.
Just want toget some info before i make my decision
Cabrons, crackers, whatever, I dodge them all. The Night Rod is nimble. It doesn't look it, but it is. If you countersteer it will get you through the twisties quick enough to bother the sport bikers. As for gas mileage, most claim 32 in the city and and 40 highway. For some reason my 06 seems to do quite a bit better. Almost as good as your Nightster
On my '06 Night Rod, I get high 30's around town and low 40's higway for gas mileage. I love the power, and Desert Speed is right - it handles better than it has any right to. I'm also pleased that it is pretty comfortable for multi-hour trips.
The price at your dealer sounds pretty good. On Ebay I've seen them sell recently for 10K to 12K.
