I'm on business travel so thought I'd ask so I can prepare when I get back. Doing/working a rally this weekend for www.somegaveall.orgwhich is a rally for those that have lost their lives or injured in the war. Gotta have a flag and wanted to know any suggestions for flag mounts.
I couldn't find anything that would work easily so that is why I am going to make my own mount. I would welcome suggestions as well before I get started on mine.
This is how I mount a flag. All depending upon your wishes is where you put it. Flag pole slips inside PVC tubing with one end capped and bolts tighten down on it. Zip ties hold the mount firmly in place and are easily removed after need is done. You can wrap cloth or use 3M film on the frame piece if you are concerned about the finish. The yellow arrows are showing two places that I have used.
I have been racking my head to remember the name of the guy who told me he'd seen it on another rider's bike. What I like about it the most is that it stays on for the time you need it and is easily removed and reinstalled. Zip ties are not pricey.
If you do something else I'd be interested in hearing about it.
