yes they are, if your not careful, they will eat you up and spit you out, \\;\\\\\\;
I see the troll is back. Dude give it up. If you want to start a sport bikes rule fight you are in the wrong place. There are many sites for D-bags like you. I checked your post history. All you do is start crap on a Harley site. Get a life and ride. Before you go into one of your 900 word intellectual replies about how I don't know what I am talking about because I ride a Harley, I own 3 sport bikes , a  \\;ST and race MOTO-ST class. So get over yourself, and go play tourist trophy.

Mr Triple Buzz, please explain to me how I am starting a sport bike rule thread, if you paid any attention to what I wrote you will see that I am not starting a fight, maybe in your own mind you see it that way, probably because you feel threatened. Since you brought up the topic of racing, you did mention you have 3 sport bikes, and race them, so being on both sides of the spectrum, maybe you can explain to everyone what the difference between a SS class bike and a V-Rod is. I'm sure with your insight you and experience \\; you can describe the huge performance difference in these bikes, so please indulge me and others. If someone asks if a V-Rod can compare to an SS bike and I say no, I am starting crap, it's honesty, and the truth, wouldn't you want the truth. So I go out and buy a V-Rod thinking I will kick a little SS bike, and the next thing I know, they blow by me like I'm standing still WTF. I'm sure you will agree, and knowing this why haven't you reinforced other riders of your knowledge............the floor is all yours.

Well I shouldn't feed the troll but I have to here.3 weeks of dumb *** comments is enough. \\;First, in America they are sport bikes not ss or rs or what ever else you call them . A super stock here is a AMA class. Next , I have been reading your posts for a while now. 90% of them are argumentative towards your cause of spreading the word that Harley's are inferior products. I'm not even sure what your reasons are for being here, but you replied to \\;my post in 10 mins. flat. Why? you don't ride a V-rod , yet you are here all the time. And do I feel threatened ?Doubt it, I know all 3 of my sport bikes will smoke my V-Rod. Only one of my bikes that can't is my Buell. Look another bike you can pick on.
Tell you what, do your research about cruisers that will beat the rods.Start with the Triumph and the 109. See if they can. Then work your way up to a V-65 magna then a V-max. By then you should have a clue.  \\;Everyone here already knows what a sport bike can do. It's clear you don't even have one. You can't possibly have time to ride your Metric cruiser and a sport bike , and still be a post ***** troll. As far as "people" thinking a V-rod can beat a small SS bike , one or two members might feel that way. In a forum you have the right to dispute that. But move on , don't ring the topic out. Maybe that person did smoke a 600. I do it all the time in the 1/8 mile. If you need to defend SS bikes against a 600+ lb cruiser, then you must need a Hobie. Read your replies Hardly , all are antagonistic .Even your name is a shot. Get over it. Go over to sportbike.net they will listen to your junk.They might even agree with you. or they might see right thru you.

[/quote]I come on here every once and awhile because I am in favour of the V-Rods, but you should know this since you have been reading my posts.I already know what can and can't beat a V-Rod don't insult my intelligence. Let me ask you a question....... you mentioned that your sport bikes will smoke a V-Rod, why didn't you give your input on why they do, and why they are in a different league, I'm sure people would rather hear it come from you and not me. It is simple \\; you are probably the biggest poser by far, how dare you say a V-Rod is inferior to a SS bike, you are sitting on both sides, so what tomorrow you are in favour of sport bikes, and the next day you are a bad *** HD rider, shame on you, a person with your experience and I do believe you do race I have no reason not to, \\; \\; have the luxury of both classes', and I have too. So I do not apologize for giving accurate information. So yes \\; I come here to hear about the V-Rod because I am interested. Everything I mention may seem I am taking a shot a HD, it's because you don't want to hear that there are other bikes "heaven forbid" are better than HD.It's your ignorance. So when other HD members call a sportster a girls bike it's ok, and that a V-Rod isn't a true Harely, because of Porsche , and the dreadful liquid cooled engine, maybe you should look in your own backyard. Once again the V-Rod is the best thing that happened to HD, would I buy one? I think so, can I afford one? I sure can, will that make me welcomed here.
I know what a V-rod can and can't beat because I ride a V-rod. Several local sport bikers know when they can or can't take me. We have fun. We know each other. They know off the line I'll take them. They also know that 1/8 mile all depends on who got traction. 1/4 mile is all sport bike territory. We also all ride stock bikes. They also know know I can easily do 12 hours in the saddle. After an hour most of them NEED to stop for an hour. I suppose that explains why they all go so fast. They need to make the most of their hour.
As for Bad Rod's 246hp, most of us saw the pics last time he grenaded. But they are still pushing it down the track!

I like the part they need to make up the most of their hour, thats a good one, cheers mate. I can go 4hrs on my bike, but who the hell cares lol, it's all about sharing the same passion, and if you ask me, I rather have the torque, hence the V-Rod instead of top end, the V-Rod is awesome what it is meant for. Like you said it's all in fun, and it's nice to see HD line up to a sport bike and take it off the stop, it's the speed HD has been missing, and more and more like that rush. 12hrs can you really go that long, I can't do anything for 12hrs lol.

poser ? how? Because I ride both? Why list the reasons my sport bikes are faster. Common sense . reason enough. Listen what ever your name is, you have been called a troll on several of your posts on this site, not just the V-rod section, but the whole site. I guess I must not be the only one who sees your angles. YOUR the one who is insecure in what you ride. Not me. I don't need others to agree with me as you do. YOU have had enough of my time with your double talk. And no I don't think you would be welcomed here if you had a v-rod. If I was you I would buy a SS bike and turn it into a chopper. And one more thing, you are doing nothing but talking shots at HD's and trying to cover it with magazine spread sheet info. And my ignorance? Tell me when I have been grandstanding for HD's .Not once have I said what you are implying.  \\;\\\\\\;News flash D-bag, 2 of my 3 sport bikes are Triumphs and my avatar makes fun of HD . I'm just tired of your smokescreens. You say your here because you like V's . The thread is about modded v-rod HP . you have noting else to contribute but how 1000 cc SS bikes are faster. Face it your a TROLL . Now go play tourist trophy. The HP numbers can be converted to metric for you.

I told told that to my Ninja 900 friend today. When he quit laughing he said "What makes it so damn funny is it's TRUE!"

The sad thing is my son has a "Baby Goldwing" 82 GL500. With that monster tank and cushy seat and him being only 19, he can probably go for a week!
