Well after 2 years of looking and waiting I finally got my Vrod. I have to return my sporty to stock and then hand her in and then I will ride her home.
Its an 08 Anniversary edition with 198 (yes 198) miles on it. I wish it had abs but I couldnt pass up the chance to get it. Call it a birthday present for myself LOL. I'll be sad to see the sporty go, cringe at the mods to do to the vrod, but will be enjoying it.
can we gets some pics please... after v-rod the sporty would be like riding a vespa... i actual let my 06 883xl sit for almost 2 year before i sold it... got tire of cleaning the chrome and wiping up oil... had nothing but carb problems and cover leakage... sold it with 1500 mile on it...
well I enjoy the sporty I have put over 12000 miles on it. Its just not comfy with the mrs on it.
Sitting on the vrod it feels very similiar to the sporty. However when I test rode one alst year I was blown away by how smooth it was and when I hit 4200 rpm (I was watching cause I was expecting it and wanted to see when it would hit the power band) it pinned me in the seat. I loved it.
This is the pic from the dealer. While I like the stock pipe look, these vance and hines look very nice extend far back to the rear of the bike and have a very nice sound.
I get to bring her home saturday and its supposed to be good weather all weekend.

Well we brought it home today. It was soo fun adn felt so natural. I had to hustle home to deal with the insurance. Mrs had driven the cage and she got home 15 minutes after I did lol.
We went for a ride together after I installed the corbin seat. She was much more comfortable and enjoyed the smoothness of the bike. I punched it getting on the freeway and hit 60 MPH in first gear. All I can say is WOW lol. My passenger was enjoying it the entire time too
