VRSC RIDERS converted from?
Wow, I was on the fence to taking it.Wasn't sure if the price was good but Super Clean, Great looking bike.
Called back today to ask Questions, as with my luck .... it was sold and delivered the same day I was looking at it! HA!
Anything you VRSC owners can share on your experiences with the bike?
....other than testing riding.... which honestly Im not sure if that would sell me on a mile ride out. As coming from the dyna and Softail family... I guess the question would be what type a riding is best suited for the VRSC,
Harley claims its great for both city, or crossing the state line.??
I'
Cornering is excellent also. I am blessed to have all of the HD families of bikes from CVO's to Sportsters. That is why I said currently riding. I go 2K with one then switch to another. It takes all year to go through 12 bikes like that.
The two best for all around enjoyment are the VRod and the Sportster XR1200. Which by the way will hang right with the VRod through the gears.
At 73 I am one of the older Vrod riders but when I'm on the bike, I feel like 19 again.
Long story short, the more I ride the V-rod, the more I like it. It handles the curves better than I expected. The feet forward riding position is okay for around town, but makes my legs tired out on the road. I think mid-controls (matched with highway pegs) would be more comfortable for the long haul. The handlebars are in a comfortable, natural position for me. Steering lock is limited, so U-turns are pretty wide. My Ultra is a lot more maneuverable in this respect.
In the twisties, the bike seems to like to "fall in" to the turns. staying on the gas helps stabilize things and it's no big deal once you get used to it.
Over all it's a fun bike -- but a big change from any other Harley.

My "last few" A Dyna, Fatboy, Deuce, V-Rod, C14 Kawasaki, another Dyna, and now my Muscle (V-rod)
After having BRAKES and POWER it was hard to ride the Dyna again.
My V rod Muscle is far more comfortable for long distance than the Dyna, smoother, faster and eats miles. It also handles better both in city and HWY riding. I do have a "lift" on my Muscle bars as they were a little too low.
After owning the first V rod, I missed the balanced ride of the VRod.
Of my two Dynas, one had forward controls and the last was mids.
V rods feel quicker side to side than the Dyna and the balance shaft engine makes the ride far smoother.
Hope that helps....
I might add I was considering a Moto Guzzi Grisio until I looked at their dealer network. The best thing about owning any Harley is the dealer in every town aspect of ownership. You are never far from a dealer. I didn't buy the Muscle to be "part of the herd", but I like the dealer network.
