I'm considering buying a VROD. I have a Road King and a Sportster but have always admired the looks and just bad *** attitude of the VRODS. As a gear head I also love the tech and high performance that I have read about? I have yet to take one for a test ride but I plan to do that soon.
I will keep my 07 Road King and Sportster. I can't ever part with the Road King. It's been too much like an old friend. Reliable and it's my tourer. The Sportster is just too fun to part with.
My question for you VROD riders is what is your favorite feature or the best part about owning a VROD ? Anything in particular to watch out for ? I like to ride all day 10 to 12 hours when I ride. Is that comfortable on a VROD ?
I will probably buy used 2012 and up. In my area VRODS are not very popular and can be had pre-owned very reasonable. Even the dealers new ones are usually discounted pretty heavily. I am partial to the night rod.
I changed my seat, bars an pegs an added a bob dron fairing an now it's comfortable to ride long distances. I love the engine, high reving for a Harley, after riding it my softail feels slow.
