Default hello to all

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum so here is a little about me.

18 years ARMY

recently wounded in Iraq(4mos ago)

I own an 04 FLHPI that I can't ride for about 2 years due to the injury

I am doing some mods on her since I can't ride her for a while

Planned mods-Custom paint, 2" tank raise, screaming eagle pipes, hypercharger, lower rear 2", new bars, seat, cruise control, IPOD mounted and of course allof the little chrome goodies a poor man can afford!

So thats about it, Any other mods that you might think needed, holler at me. I joined to meet other riders and owners. Since I can't ride I can sure as hell post!

About my ride- original florida Hiway patrol bike, Purchased at Sturgis 05, had 400 miles on it. Custom striped at Sturgis by TEX from TEXAS(go figure)ha
Currently has 24k on her
wife rides with majority of long rides(hence the seatrest)
very sound mechanically, plenty powerful for what I need

First of all sorry to hear about the injury. Very glad though to hear you are now home.
It's good to hear that you are working on your bike, turning it into a great project.
I really look forward to the day you can say you got your bike out for a ride.
Good bless, and hope each day gets better for you...
Your friends in Canada.....

Welcome from Salem, Oregon - Thank you for your service to our country. I hope that your recovery time goes by quickly. Custom paint...probably the modification that will give you the most pleasure when you look at and talk about your bike. If you don't mind shipping your tins, I can recommend a highly skilled painter here in Oregon who does great custom work.

first off, thanks everybody for the support.

Guilty, I might be interested in shipping tins. Can you send me a link to your guys shop so I can correspond with them and make a decision. Did that shop lay the paint down on your ride? That sure looks sweet.

I have shopped a few painters, shipping tins is really my only option other than painting it here in Germany. Which I won't do because they don't use a bake oven when they are done. I have been around long enough to know to do it right the first time, might be expensive but you usually get what ya pay for.

Salem Oregon, huh? I used to live in outskirts of Eugene(Elmira) Oregon back years ago. Still have some family out near Coos Bay and Florence area. I loved that place. Sea lion caves and the north jetty! Good stuff, man. You just have to love the divercity of AMERICA. Oregon is the only state that has desert, mountains, ocean and timber in the same state.

Welcome aboard, Army. Actually, Washington has all that climate as well. Lived 20 yrs in Salem before moving back up to Washington. Have in-laws in Eugene--in fact, headed to my youngest niece's graduation party--just completed her degree at Univ. of Oregon.
