Hello from the UK
I joined here in 2013 after I'd much trawling for useful information before I purchased my first HD - a 2013 Street Glide - but haven't posted before.
Just thought I'd say hi as I seem to be spending more time on here looking for useful info now that I'm the proud owner of a 2015 CVO Street Glide.
Brief history - I'm a grumpy old fart been riding year in year out fair weather or foul for the last 30-odd years and have had over 30 bikes in that time. Started off with British bikes, had a few Japanese, brief flirtation with a Moto Guzzi and from the late 90s was mostly riding BMWs.
Never had any real interest in Harleys but was getting bored of modern motorcycling and thinking of giving up when I decided to try the touring models in 2013 and ended up with the 2013 SG. I sold that after a year and 14500 miles and switched back to BMW (K1600GT) and knew straight away that I'd made a mistake.
Decided to get a Rushmore Street Glide or Road Glide and then I saw the Hard Candy Mercury CVO Street Glide on youtube and was smitten!
I'd never imagined I'd buy a CVO and never though I'd own anything that shiny(or expensive)! Thankfully I'd been working stupid hours, almost to the point of breaking, for the previous 6 months straight so the bank account was looking more flush than normal and the wife was supportive and the finance company agreed to cover the balance so a deal was struck. It's a great bike and I love it.
So far it's had Fullsac headers and Supertrapp Fatshots with a new map and some autotuning runs from the SEPST. Plus a more comfortable Mustang seat.
Shocks and forks are next for attention.
Cheers
Andy
