Thought I would pop in and say hello. I'm on my fourth Harley currently. I recently traded my Road King for a 2006 Super Glide about two weeks ago. I've also had an FLHS and a Fat Boy.
I had gotten tired of the heavier bikes and am liking the Super Glide quite a bit. It has a variety of mods on it, some I like and some I don't, but that's half the fun, to make it your own.
About the only thing I have done so far on the bike is take off the pesky reflectors on the front forks and rear fender as well as remove a hideous plate off the front forks where an inspection sticker used to reside. At one time, it must have lived outside of Oklahoma because we don't have inspections in Oklahoma. The plate looked a bit like a small aluminum pie tin so I was glad to get rid of it.
