Better late than never! I started riding with my Dad when I was about 8 years old on an old Triumph. I really cut my teeth riding on the back of his 1976 Goldwing. Lately..for the past 10 years my Dad has gone back to Harley like in his younger days. Currently he rides a RoadKing. He was quite ill last December, and I turned 40 just before that, and I decided if I was ever going to ride side by side with my Dad I needed to learn to drive. My husband and I took the ABATE class and I purchased a 2005 XL883L Sportster. My Dad was against it at first...I' 5'2" and 125lbs, but I can handle the bike just fine. I lift weights and am a long distance runner so I have the strength to work with my new bike. It will be a pleasure to meet new friends in the forum. Thanks!
