I have a 06 Deuce on order/allocated (military sales program) for delivery when I return home in June 06. I like the style of the bike, but am planning on changing the front and rear fenders to those similar to the Fat Boy. Have any of you seen or heard of this modification on a Deuce? I emailed my local dealer and was told that this is not possible. I'm just trying to get a head of the game and get the parts ordered before I get home. Also, I'm wondering if any of you have pics of a Deuce with the steel laced rear wheel? I've driven my Unlce's Dyna Wide Glide and owned a v-twin sport bike, but this will be my first Harley.
Howdy, welcome to the forum. I understand your desire about wanting to get ahead of the game and I hope that someone with more knowledge that I have will be able to help you. I might suggest one thing for you, you might want to make a post in the Softail section of this forum and maybe that will also help you on some of your questions. Good luck and come home safe.
The Deuce front end is completely different from the Fatboy. However, Iâm sure that if you want to do it, it can be done. Might take a little research though.
Springer is right try the softail fourms somebody may have already tried it.
Welcome to the forum from NY. Thats a good question for sure, I would take an educated guess here and say that anything is possible with the right sources. The front fender would adapt with the adapters that are available being the bolt holes are a bit different and the rear would adapt with a bit of work also. It would require drilling new mounting holes. You may be better off getting aftermarket blank fenders similar to the FB and drilling the holes necessary for mounting.
