Bought my first Harley, Halloween '17. it's a 2009 xl1200C black & chrome, my two favorite colors. I started riding in 1970 on a Honda 70, have had five dirt bikes and five street. Got the street race bug back in '75 riding a Kawa 400 triple 2 stroke (I remember one of my two loses was to Harley bobber) glad I got over that phase. My buddies and I started ridin' Triumphs... I had a '71 650 bonny (they rode '57, '67 & a '68) that bike taught me a lot...ya can't own a UK leaker without learning to wrench. Life changed, regret selling her, all my buddies still have their Triumphs but 2 outta 3 also have Harleys. One has a road king the other a customized soft tail so they had me thinking in two different directions! After test riding an 883 it was just too much like the Triumph so I went with the 1200 and love the bigger heavier feel.
I coulda been on a Sporty all this time! love this bike.
It's raining this week (sunny southern California) but I'll try to a photo soon.
I've been reading posts, some of you are funny as #*@# thanks for the grins...
