Oh no another newbee!
Live in the Pacific Northwest. 3 months til spring. I went out to the garage the other day to think about fixing my Suzuki 1400 Intruder. It has not been started and run for about 2 years (I've been busy).
So it needs hauled in to the shop and I get thinking maybe it's HD time.
So, today in the garage sits a (new to me) 2013 Sportster 1200 custom. It only had 1024 miles and a price below book!
Somebody did some customizing with Vance & Hines pipes, sissybar and these really nasty looking full size floorboards (he must of spent all his money on the pipes and got the floorboards cheap)!
The day I picked her up I took the nasty floorboards off and put HD mini floorboards on to christen "Candy-O".
My first mission of changing the floorboards went well after discovering the offset clevis needed modified to fit most footpegs. The thought of spending $100 on new clevis's had me grinding down the old ones with a dremel. It worked out fine and "Candy-O" looks fantastic after her bath and new shoes.
The 1400 is still at the shop and will look forward to a new owner sometime in April if all works out.
I have been riding for about 46 years having owned Suzukis, Hondas and a Harley 125 Rapido back in 1971 (not counted as a real HD).
I am a very fair-weather rider 70+ and sunny it must be. The Mrs. enjoys being on the back to keep me ehem, out of trouble
Looking forward to exchanging info about our past-time soon.
