I'm a fairly new rider (3 years now) and I still get such a thrill when I get to ride my ownbike!
My inspiration to ride came from a Harley poster, which had a tough, but feminine, woman rider - she wasstaring right into the camera and the caption at the bottom simply read: "I am not a backrest." That was all it took in order for me to realize, "hey, I don't want to be a backrest either!"
My first and current bike is a 1999 sportster 883. It's been a great bike; however, I'm looking forward to upgrading someday. My dreambike is softail deluxe.
I'm new to forum settings so if I come off as "quiet" (no postings) - it's not that I'm shy or snobbish, it’s just that I don't yet know how to get around this place!
Welcome Monica! Don't worry about jumping in. Glad that you discovered the joy of riding. Keep that Softail dream alive and it will happen...until then ride safe.
