Hey y'all new member '06 RG
Bought a '06 RG last fall with the little life insurance I got from my wife passing from cancer. I've had a couple other HD's. A new '99 Fatboy, then a custom softail back in '05 with a 110". Had to let those go years back, now the RG with 26,000mi. Me and the wife always wanted a tourer but never had the $$. So I got the bike we wanted and the same day I took the ride we planned to take one day. Up the coast from LA to San Francisco. Didn't even wait to transfer the title just packed up the tent and rode! Unzipped the tent in the morning on the side of the road overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge then toured the city, ended up accidentally riding down Lombardi St because I wanted to see what was on the other side of the hill, then wondered why the hell literally 1,000's of people were there top to bottom of this 200ft street taking pictures and why the hell the road was sooo damn windy (curves). After parking and asking I learned it's the windiest road in the world! Put a little over 1,000 miles on that shakedown run.
