Default Hello from ND

Hi to all. Very nice forum!I could really use some advise from HD owners. I sold my Honda 750 a few years ago and am now looking at getting my first Harley.
I am down to 2 choices.
96 Dyna convertible with standard seat, bags and windshield. 20k miles.
06 Sportster 1200L with custom seat w/ backrest and windshield. 2100 miles.
price is about the same approx $ 7500. will be used for 100 mile rides 3-4 times a week, open road very little city. single rider.
Need help choosing.

Welcome from South Carolina!!

Go with the Sportster. Newer model and fewer issues.

I have owned both a Dyna (03)and a Sportster (94), the Sportser was a lot of fun, the Dyna was more comfortable on a long ride. Hveing said that, the 06 Sportster probably willhave fewer issues since it is newer. Have fun and welcome aboard.

Thank you all for the replies. I was leaning more towards the Sportster because it is newer, but having a hard time on passing on the Dyna. This will most likely be my last bike and I am having a hard time picking which one.
Thanks again for your help.
