alaska riders?

being new here, I've check out alot of the posts, are there any other AK riders here? I know that I live in the largest state, but we have the second smallest population. not sure, but I think our riding pop. is higher than average though. Hopin to meat more of 'em out there![8D]

not only is this a BIG state, we have BIG fish too!!! halibut(deepsea fishing) or king salmon(river fishing) I do believe those of y'all stateside call the kings by a different name though cohoe maybe? anyway they can run 50-100lbs up here!![sm=jawdrop.gif]

Hi, LadyGlide! I just recently moved down here to Oregon after 21 years in Alaska...had to try some different roads other than Highway 1 or 2 after that many years! But I'll be back...I still have my house up in Eagle River...are you north or south of there? It's good riding any direction, so it's all good! I do miss Alaska, but it sure is fun doing all this exploring down here...I havent' been on the same road twice since I've been here! I miss the fishing and hunting there, too...if you haven't tried it, give this recipe a try...they used to call "Poor Man's Lobster"...all you have to do is get some water boiling, throw in some salt and sugar, add some one inch chunks of halibut in there, watch the chunks bob around for awhile, then when they float to the top, they're done! Dip them in some butter, and you'll think you're eating lobster! If any of my buds up there talk to me about a run or get together, I'll let you know!
