Hello from Belgium
as is the tradition I’d like to say hello to all.
40+ male from Belgium, have been riding bikes since my early 20’s and driven all types from maxi scooters to supersports in those years.
Currently ride a GS1250 as a daily/commuter. Roughly 7000km since october so well on track to keep my 10-15k/year average going.
Owned a ‘97 sportster and ‘06 Buell in the past but since a couple of weeks the proud owner of a ‘06 streetglide.
Bought a service manual but dropped her of for her first big maintenance and replacement of the chain tensioners with a non-official harley dealer/service point. (Currently 92.000 km so thought it might be time as the last rebuild happened at 65k kms).
Seems the gut feel was quite right
Happy to see the service center doing it old style without cutting the pushrods.
Already ordered radial brackets and brembo mono blocks as well as led fog lights for the additional visibility and to make it ‘usable’ for commuting as that is 100km single distance and mainly lane splitting.
happy to be here and learn from all of you!

I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here.
Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.
The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your post.
Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the years.
Of course, you can add it to any thread with a question.
You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture to the signature lines.
If you like, you can also add another favorite picture for an Avatar you see at the top left of all your posts as a postage stamp.
