Default Hello From Orem, UT

Howdy all,

Been riding Motorcycles for about 14 months now, I'm still suprised at how much it feels like riding a bicycle (I have been riding and competing on Mountain and Road bikes for 10 years). The best thing about it all is that it is so much more fun than pedaling a bike. I sit down, crack the throttle and grin...

I came on over here at the suggestion of one of your forum members (TurkeyRun). I have been a memeber of a sportster forum (the XLF) and found the information I got there invaluable. I have high hopes for this site as well!

I just bought an 07 Street Bob, the bike is everything I loved about my 05 883 Custom and more. First of all the displacement is nearly 2x what I had (andshe sure pulls, even with the break in limitations). I love the way she handles, the center of gravity is lower, the suspension is better, the engine is blacked out like I like (the custom I traded in was going to get blacked out and a 1250 conversion with stage 2 heads, apes, and a black paint job), and it has the tasty 6 speed.

So far I've only had her up to 50, and below 3500 rpm, and with the taller gearing the Dyna has, the possibilites are looking really good. I had no point of reference as to how much my previous bike, the Sporty, was having to work to keep up. Now everything just feels so effortless. It carves like a dream, and I love the twisties even more!

So, I know I am ranting here, you'll just have to excuse me a bit...

I will have to snap some picts tonight and post 'em up.

Denim Black, mid controls, DragSpecialties smoked lenses (turn & tail), LED bulbs, Drag Specialties chrome laydown plate and a heckuva lot of fun.

Jay

Thanks RoadKing62!

I am glad to find another home on the 'net where I can associate with some more folks like me!

Although it is still funny to think of myself as beinga BT rider(although I never got the RUB Snub at all running the Sporty...mostly because it was fast)

Hey Jay!

Glad you made your way here. Make sure and come over to the Dyna board and say "Hey" too!

Oh, and "Welcome from NC!" (even though I'm in Utah )
