Piglet to HOG
In late 2005 I got my first bike and first Harley. At the time the XL1200C was about the max I could afford and thought it would be a good start. Ive riden for years. Started on my dads 72 sportster. Just last week I traded up. I swapped the piglet for a 07 FXST. I have always liked the looks of the standard and deuce. To me they are the bikes that are the base for a lot of customs. So when I saw in 08 they would be no more I felt the need to jump. My wife rides with me more and the 1200 just isnt a good two up bike. The larger room of the Softail and much larger 96ci engine sure are nice. Like all owners as soon as I knew the deal was going to happen I was already planning upgrades. I did the detachable sissy bar, extended crome dash piece, battery tender and axle nut coversthis weekend. Next will be V&H BSS, Screaming Eagle intake and race pak. Then lower it an inch or so, Street Slammer Barsand more of the chrome stuff.
