Hi all. I currently don't own a Harley. Although my wife and I are looking to get a bike for two-up touring. We both have Honda cruisers at the moment. They are great bikes for what they are.
I'm in the process of looking at the Ultra Classic, the Star Venture, and maybe (but I don't think so) the Goldwing.
Please. No bashing and /or flames. I hear plenty of that from both sides.
I'm looking for genuine facts and perspectives from HD owners.
I can't say anything bad about any metric bikes as I have owned my share..My last one before the Harley was a RSTD Yamaha and I really liked the bike, it is basically the Venture without the tour pack and radio... Believe me it wasn't ever a close call as far as comfort was concerned, the Harley has it hands down and resale value is sooo much better....Jer
You won't find too many bashing metrics here. What you ride is mainly a personal decision, speed, durability, function, and style. Whatever you decide, don't let negative comments from other sway you. Do your homework & whatever you choose, you will be satisfied with.
Good Luck Welcome from Illinois!
