Greetings from Iraq! I always told myself that when I make Lieutenant Colonel or retire, whichever comes first, I am going to get a Road Glide. I caveated that with if I get shot at here in Iraq that will eliminate the first two reasons to get one. Needless to say, I am now the proud owner of the '08 Anniv. Road Glide. I am going to pick it up in about thirty days from now and can't wait.
I have talked to some people who mention getting a Stage I kit and so forth but do I really need one if the bike is brand new? My old bike was a Buell lightening X-1 and my fast, furious cornering days are over. Why would I want more speed on a 800 pound bike?
First and foremost, allow me to say THANK YOU for your service!!!
